Mitroflow Corp. (now Sulzer Mitroflow Corp.) developed the Mitroflow Pericardial™ aortic heart valve and Peripatch Cylinders. This unique heart valve and line reinforcement is made from biological material requiring no ongoing anti-coagulant therapy, making it a proven performer with better hemodynamics and having regulatory approval for sale in North America and Europe. Mitroflow needed to launch and build sales of their product line in the North American and European markets, provide marketing support to distributors. It also needed to brand and position itself as a world-class medical product company focused on developing pericardial aortic heart valves and accessories.
NextPhase created a series of informative ads that were run in targeted medical journals in North America and Europe. The ad campaign was complemented by sales material that included a presentation folder and product brochures used to respond to product inquiries as well as a sales call leave behind.
Awareness of the Mitroflow product line increased substantially over the following year. Thousands of Pericardial heart valves were sold, with over 21,000 Pericardial implants currently in use worldwide.
