  • NextPhase puts a new lease on Discovery Parks' development marketing program – helping fully lease its Phase 1 project


    Challenge
    Discovery Parks Inc. is a non-profit Canadian organization that develops buildings for scientific research and development and high technology manufacturing. They had developed a new research facility in False Creek that was fully equipped with wet lab facilities and ideally suited for biotechnology tenants. The challenge was to communicate this to the life sciences community in Western Canada. 

    Action
    Initially NextPhase developed a logo for the False Creek Research Park. This was followed by producing a marketing brochure, leasing signage, and ads run in biotechnology and business publications. All items had to appeal to the decision makers in biotechnology companies. 

    Results
    The marketing program resulted in signing on Angiotech, the anchor tenant for the first building, and fully leasing the building. "NextPhase has the ability to fully understand both our needs and the needs of our customers. They know exactly what it takes to ‘sell’ our facility to prospective tenants" said Tom Douglas, Development Manager, at the close of the Phase 1 program.
