Challenge
As a thriving mid-sized accounting firm with 17 partner
corporations, DMCL needed a new web presence to further build its profile as an
entrepreneurial-focused firm with a personal touch. As a busy practice, it also
needed a website that could be updated on the fly by internal staff not
well-versed in programming language.
Action
A considerable amount of time was spent creating
the site architecture to ensure that visitors could find the information they
need quickly and easily. The home page featured rotating images of select
partners on a background of BC-based images to reflect the company’s BC roots –
a key differentiator. Although there was considerable text-based content deep
in the site, the home page was kept simple with a block of text that concisely explained
what set DMCL apart from other accounting firms. After the website was
launched, we did a series of ads for Northern Miner to beef up awareness of its
Public Company Assurance Group.
Results
The new website and ad campaign were positively received by
DMCL partners. Stated Marie Dickens, COO of DMCL, “Our new website reflects our
new firm brand very well, it is fresh and creative. We enjoyed bouncing ideas around with the
team and they were very responsive to last minute changes to meet our many
stakeholders’ needs. The content management system is very easy to use. For the

presence at a lower overall media insertion cost.”
