Swift Power develops, builds and operates renewable energy projects that combine environmental, traditional and community values with prudent engineering and economics. The company was launched in early 2008 and was poised to go public by the end of the year. To build a presence, the Swift Power required a professional-looking brand image that made it look like an established corporation, yet not too ‘corporate’.
Swift Power needed to communicate its renewable energy story to investors, joint-venture partners, BC Hydro and the local communities where its run-of-river projects are located. NextPhase was engaged to brand the company by producing a new corporate identity, stationery, and positioning statement. The new identity reflected part of the RoR process, whereas the positioning line, “Energy for a Greener Planet”, communicated the green energy focus. Also included was a corporate brochure, presentation folder, trade show display, Powerpoint presentation and corporate website.
In the first six months after NextPhase branded Swift Power, the company completed an IPO, signed an MOU with Kitselas First Nation and submitted a 20 MW Run-of-River Hydroelectric Power Proposal to BC Hydro.
