Consolidated Samarkand is an emerging publicly-listed resource company building on a solid growth strategy of developing and producing select precious and base metal properties worldwide. The challenge was to generate excitement in the investment community and position the company as a serious contender among junior to mid-tier mining exploration companies. Part of the plan included a suite of communications tools to tell the Samarkand story to investors, buy-side brokers and industry analysts.
NextPhase produced a complete communications package that consisted of a new identity, stationery, corporate brochure, newsletters, website and public relations campaign. The corporate brochure and website were written in an easy-to-understand language and included colorful photography to excite investors. A comprehensive media relations plan was also developed. After compiling a list of the top mining editors of all major Canadian newspapers, investment and mining trade magazines, NextPhase produced a detailed media package for distribution. We followed this up with an intensive one-on-one telephone blitz to get the media on-side.

Public exposure of this junior mining company to the investment community increased significantly, with the share price rising from $0.20 to over $1.50.
