Challenge
Galantas Gold Corporation is a Canadian-based public company trading on the TSX-Venture Exchange (GAL). The company has exclusive mineral exploration and development rights to the Omagh Mine Project, a 189 square kilometre gold property in County Tyrone, Ireland. Their goal was to bring Ireland’s first gold mine into production. NextPhase’s challenge was helping create significant growth in shareholder value for Galantas by communicating their unique strategy. The plan was to bring Ireland’s first gold mine into production, then add value to the production by utilizing the rare Irish gold to fashion an exclusive line of high quality 18-carat gold jewellery. To put this plan into action, Galantas needed to raise US $7 million.
Action
First NextPhase created a themed message centred around "Mining the Potential of Pure Irish Gold." This was complemented by a captivating photo of heather in the Irish countryside. The theme was applied to all marketing communications collateral, including an investor brochure, presentation folder, CD ROM sleeve and label, PowerPoint presentation, trade show display and website.
Results
As the news of Galantas Gold’s potential began to spread, considerable interest was generated in the mining community. Funds were raised and the company began putting the mine into production. The trade show display was directly responsible for attracting a $4 million investment from a fund.
