  • NextPhase Builds a Better Brand for Klohn to Reflect its High Stature in the Marketplace

    Challenge
    Although Klohn Crippen Berger has an excellent reputation, its website and marketing collateral didn’t reflect its high stature in the marketplace. The brand needed an overhaul to better communicate its level of professionalism, uniqueness, market focus, and depth of expertise.

    Action
    NextPhase began by researching the industry, competition and markets. From there, we produced a branding theme that differentiated Klohn from the many other consulting engineering firms providing similar services. We built the theme around “Down to Earth. Up to the Challenge” – a positioning that communicated the down to earth nature of Klohn employees coupled with their willingness to take on the toughest projects. Deliverables included a new website with a custom content management system, corporate statement of qualifications, mining brochure and service sheets, template brochure for various business units, ad template and presentation folder. After the initial rebranding effort, we have continued to provide ongoing services to Klohn including an interactive 60th anniversary Flash-animated timeline for the website.

    Results
    NextPhase’s upfront research and client understanding paid off as management’s approval of the new look was immediate. Klohn’s stellar reputation is now reflected across all brand touchpoints in a consistent manner. Now when a prospective client or employee visits the website or is handed a brochure, they truly get a sense of Klohn as a progressive firm with a storied history and bright future.
